How do I find out if someone is in jail in Bexar County?

The quickest way is to search the Bexar County Clerk & District Clerk court records using the person’s name. If any records were found you will see a button that says “View Details”. Click that button and on the next page you will see a heading called “Location”. Below the location heading it should show “JAL” if the person is in jail. You will need the recipient’s ID number to complete the transaction. The recipient ID is usually the same as the person’s SID (System Inmate Identification Number). The SID is a unique identifying number for an inmate. No matter how many times that person is in or out of jail or prison in their lifetime, the SID number will follow them and never change. You can locate the SID number on the offender’s detail page of this website, or on the “View Details” page of the Bexar County Clerk & District Court records website.
